Papahana Aloha ʻĀina Hawaiʻi believes in developing the youth to be our leaders for tomorrow, the next leaders for Hawaiʻi, and to this end incorporates a youth board of ʻōpio between the ages of 16-26 years. Youth engage in the development, design, and decision-making of the organization. All youth board members are Native Hawaiian and Hawaiian language speakers. Majority are fluent Hawaiian speakers. 90% are former or current Hawaiian Medium and/or Hawaiian Focused Charter school students. Youth board members have genealogical ties to and represent the islands of Kauaʻi, Oʻahu, Maui, Molokaʻi, and Hawaiʻi Island. Here are our youth leaders in order of their moʻokūʻauhau in the Papahana.
