Mālama ʻĀina Community Service

Papahana Aloha ʻĀina Hawaiʻi supports mālama ʻāina and wahi kupuna through service by hosting,  organizing, sharing, and participating in community service opportunities and events.  Here we share some of our community service events and steward collaborations.

Kahawai ʻo Pālolo

Pālolo Stream

Papahana Aloha ʻĀina Hawaiʻi, in collaboration with Saint Louis School, supports restoring and maintaining  Pālolo Stream.  A section of the stream that sits on the Saint Louis campus continues to flow in it's natural state, unchannelized and undiverted.  Native ʻoʻopu can still be found in the stream.  Native ʻaukuʻu and manu o Kū frequent the area.  Amongst the city, concrete and the numerous invasive species, our resilient natives continue to find a way to thrive. Papahana Aloha ʻĀina Hawaiʻi is committed to supporting our natives and the natural habitat that nurtures them.
